Morgan in serious car accident

Morgan Freeman, 71, has been in a terrible car accident in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi on Sunday night at around midnight. They had to use the jaws of life to get him out of his 1997 Nissan Maxima. The car flipped a couple of times and landed in a ditch.

He has suffered a broken arm and shoulder but is still in good spirits and joking with the nurses at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. There was also an unidentified woman with Mr. Freeman in the car but her name has not been released. It hasn't been told why the crash happened either but alcohol was not involved.

I am glad to hear that he is better than what the news was reporting though because they said he was in serious condition. But if he only broke his arm and his shoulder he should make a great recovery.

Also when fans saw his vehicle they tried to approach it to take pictures and Freeman was heard saying "No freebies, no freebies" so he still has his great sense of humor.

I hope he's ok and gets better soon so he can continue to make great movies and have a great life with his wife and family.

Update:  Morgan had surgery on his arm and shoulder last night to correct the nerve damage that he suffered due to the accident.  Also the woman that was with Morgan in the car crash is Demaris Meyer, 48, who is in better condition than Morgan and was sent home from the hospital soon after the crash happened.  She is a really good friend of Mr. Freeman's wife and she is an executive assistant for Fed-Ex.
