Tomatoes cause Salmonella?

Tomatoes not good for you?

In the United States the FDA is calling this "a state of crisis" warning people not to eat raw red Roma, plum or red round tomatoes due to a salmonella outbreak.   Buyers may eat cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, tomatoes with the vine attached and tomatoes that you grow at home.

All the fast food joints in the states have pulled anything with tomatoes in it and so are the restaurants and grocery stores.

Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Belgium, Dominican Republic, California, Guatemala, Israel, Netherlands, Canada, and Puerto Rico are not included in this outbreak of samonella.

If you experience any vomitting, fever, diarrhea or any stomach or abdominal pain please go to the hospital immediately as it has affected 150 people so far and 23 of them are far more serious and are hospitalized.  No deaths have been reported yet thankfully.
